Performing Arts
The Performing Arts at Mount ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ is extended beyond the classroom through a rich, diverse and engaging co-curricular program.
Filled with a range of exciting performance opportunities, the program includes our annual ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ musical, Senior school play, Middle-school play, ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ Idol singing competition, Chagiga Secondary presentation evening, music concerts, assembly performances and more. Through this wide array of projects, ensembles, activities and performances, we strive to provide students of all years and skill levels the opportunity to participate and perform.
We also offer private tuition across a wide range of instruments, and encourage all students to participate in one or more of our many ensembles and choirs.
All of our instrumental staff are highly qualified, and their warmth and energy combined with their extensive experiences offer students a unique and rare opportunity to gain an insight into the world of music through learning an instrument at the ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ.
Our instrumental rental or rent-to-ownprograms helps students to try a new instrument before parents make a more significant financial outlay.
The rent-to-own program applies for Year 4 onward for Flute, Trumpet, Trumbone, Clarinet and Saxophone only. It includes free consumables, school based maintenance, music theory class and AMEB 1-5 /TCL exams. Contact the Music Administrator for more information.
Over the course of the year, The Eva and Marc Besen School of Music has been collecting recordings from live performances, and recording with our Studio Production teacher, James McGuffie, to work towards our very first ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ MixTape - a collection of 10 recordings from across 2022 that showcases various ensembles and songwriters from our Year 7-12 Co-curricular music program.
