ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ Values and Mission Statement
The mission of Mount ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ Memorial ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ is to provide each student with an education and an environment that
- promotes excellence in learning and academic achievement by means of inquiry and critical thinking and by creating a desire for lifelong learning
- enables holistic development for all students by offering a wide range of activities, inside and outside of the classroom
- provides Jewish learning, values and experiences, within a Modern Orthodox and Zionist framework, that enable each student to make an informed choice as to the meaning of their Jewish identity
- develops the notions of community and service by engendering values, knowledge and skills so that students can play their full part in their communities – as members of the ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ, as Jews, as Australians and as citizens of the world.
Mount ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ Memorial ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ aims to provide a high-quality schooling to all of its students,
- that is free from discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, health, disability, race and socioeconomic background;
- that is underpinned by respectful relationships between all members of the school community;
- that takes place in an environment that is supportive and engaging for all school community members.
Our mission is underpinned by our values of:
- Integrity: We are true to ourselves and respectful to each other. We are honest. We have courage to do what is right even when it is hard. We live our values.
- Compassion: We show empathy to understand others' situations, emotions, and perspectives. We endeavour to assist in the fulfilment of the needs of others. We act on our feelings of empathy and show compassion and forgiveness.
- Inclusion: We create a caring and respectful environment where people feel connected and know they matter. People are valued for what they say, how they think. We honour the varied perspectives, circumstances and experiences of everyone in our community.
- Curiosity: We have a passion for asking questions. We are open minded as we explore our learning which we see as a life long journey. We are encouraged to wonder, question, dream and think deeply.
As an IB school, the ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ is bound by the Mission Statement of the International Baccalaureate Organisation:
