ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ Calendar
Notes for the calendars
School holiday times will vary from state school dates. Careful consideration is given to balancing the observance of Jewish holy days with the learning needs of the ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ's various student groups and this may result in some variance, eg:
Term 1:
The first day for students takes place on the fourth business day after the Australia Day holiday. This allows for three teacher days to take place before students begin.
Where practical and possible, the end of Term 1 is timed to allow for proper preparation for Pesach.
Term 2:
The first day of term is timed to allow 10 days of holiday to students during the preceding break. In some years, a staff development day will delay the start of term for students by one day.
The end of term normally coincides with state school dates.
Term 3:
The first day of term is timed to allow 10 days of holiday to students during the preceding break. In some years, a staff development day will delay the term start date for students by one day.
The end of term is timed to maximise the ÎÞÂëÊÓƵ's ability to best support the study needs of VCE students, and effectively deliver the curriculum within Term 4.
Term 4:
The first day of term is timed to allow 10 days of holiday to students during the preceding break.
A staff development day is applied for all staff on the day prior to Melbourne Cup.
Melbourne Cup day: All Primary sports day / Secondary staff development day.
